Cool Hellooooo

Hey everyone, I'm surprised I havent made an account here yet. I've been using this forum for some good general information on my 2010 Crosstour and my sister's new to her 2000 TL. I hope I can be a good addition to the community and would love to get some stories out there. I've done a lot of work to my car (Engine is out of a 2014 RDX) and just last week did a transmission drain and fill +filter on her car

'Sup. Nice to see another 20 year old here. Guess your birthday is 12/02/2003? Anyways, guessing your sister's car is her first. Just be wary of the trans obviously. You know if it is the OG trans or not? The TL looks clean from the front considering that its older than the both of us.

Welcome to Acurzine. How did you determine that you wanted a Crosstour?

Yep. 12/02/03. The kid that we bought it from had it as his first car. Him and his dad did a lot of work to it too, apparently it has a rebuilt transmission (but the fluid looked orange so I'm not sure what was going on there, drained and filled with dw1), new gas tank, new rear main seal, newish timing belt (maybe, still have to check for myself), and a list of other things you'd see in a facebook marketplace listing. The car itself is definitely clean and has over 234k miles on it. My Crosstour is 100k behind that... But I'm on my 3rd engine due to a repeated mistake... Still love my car, the TL is much smaller and i barely fit in it height wise.

My first car was a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica, my dad and I went and got the car brand new for my mom in December of 06 and it was passed down to me ~13 years later. I loved having a strong v6 and AWD, a leather interior, simple controls, and a fun driving experience. The maintenance is not something I was fond of on there because it was tight and had a lot of plastic (stark contrast to the crosstour, very easy to work on and its mostly metal). Unfortunately the Pacifica blew up its front transfer case and I was out of a car in my junior year of Highschool, thankfully my uncle came in clutch with a 2010 ford fusion 3.0l that he had recently picked up and he let me drive it while we looked for a car of my own, he still had his 06 gto and 08 grand cherokee for my aunt. My parents and I were looking for cars at nearby dealerships cause nobody trusted facebook marketplace enough yet and they found this Crosstour in McHenry, IL. I thought it looked really unique and I hadn't heard of the Crosstour before but right away it was something that ticked all of my boxes. So, we went and test drove it along with some other vehicles they had at that little dealership, the Honda was still the best thing they had there and I loved it immediately. So really I didn't go looking for a Crosstour but it was the right time and right place, and if you really want to be cliche about it, the Crosstour found me. On May 11th, 2021, I was the new owner of a 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour.

This is me in the engine bay right after getting the engine out... the first time. October 22nd, 2022.
