Axle making rattle noise?
Hello everyone,
I recently got my timing chain replaced. I did guides tensioner etc. the reason I even wanted to do it was because I had a rattle or rather a lose chain rattle coming from the passenger side. After the chain install, it’s still there! So that wasn’t it. After a drive around with my mechanic he advised that I likely need new axles. I did notice about 5 months ago that my front rim had grease on it, I didn’t think of it then but that could be the grease from inside the boot. My steering wheel (as I drive) has a dry like feeling vibration to it.
I’m about to change the axles when I can afford it but I’m wondering if anyone has had this issue before?

Note: the sound only comes when my automatic trans goes to shift into the next gear, usually at 2-3000rpm. I don’t hear it at all at higher speeds just from light to light kinda thing
